Surprises await you from the breath-taking, panoramic views of the Mogollon Rim to the rock walls of the Tonto, Coconino and Sitgreaves National Forests.

With the grand wood-burning fire-place in the Great Room, a complete chef’s kitchen, an outdoor fire-pit, and a separate outdoor eating and barbequing area, the Sanctuary Cabin is equipped as the ultimate retreat for those who know the importance of quality down time with friends and family to relax from life’s everyday pressures.

We are located approximately 27 miles east of Payson, AZ and 6 miles east of Christopher Creek, AZ.  Like most of our guests, you will be enjoying the great views of the Mogollon Rim, fishing, or going for walks in the woodsy National Forests, Christopher Creek and surrounding areas. You may want to go for more serious hiking, or mountain biking, which is also available in the immediate vicinity. Hunting and horseback riding is nearby. There are too many ATV trails to mention and rentals are also available locally.

If you're considering booking in the winter, it would be wise to have 4-wheel drive. We have no central heat in the cabin. You must maintain the fire in the fireplace throughout your visit. It has a blower that will heat the cabin comfortably. Firewood is furnished.  There are space heaters available for the bedrooms. No guests have complained about being too cold!
